Is Starbucks toffee nut latte sweet?
I love coffee, a lot. So much that those who know me all know that the best bet of grabbing me for an afternoon is to mention (vegan) lattes. Every year I get excited for the Starbucks festive menu, which always sees a delicious hot chocolate join the ranks and often the return of one of my favourite syrups: Toffee Nut.
I love Toffee Nut because it’s a key ingredient in one Harry Potter inspired ‘secret menu’ item that I’m particularly fond of. You can order Starbucks to your home on Deliveroo , Just Eat or Uber Eats (and here’s £5 off with Just Eat! ).
But now isn’t the time to fuss over that secret drink, now is the time to delve into the new festive menu. Toffee Nut Latte Toffee Nut Latte (Image: Jada Jones) This is the drink I most look forward to. It’s such a staple with my friends that one of us has ‘toffee nut’ in her nickname year-round. The Toffee Nut Latte is sweet, but not overpoweringly sweet, which reminds me of the Salted Maple Latte that came out earlier this year. If you like a touch of sweetness but find caramel can be a little bit too much, then this is a great option. Rating: 5/5 Gingerbread Latte
Gingerbread Latte (Image: Jada Jones) I think ginger can be quite a divisive flavour, and I know in the past I’ve been left quite overwhelmed by gingerbread flavoured items. This one has a lovely flavour that is a great balance of sweet and spicy. I think if you really enjoy gingerbread it’s a great option. The topping is a little strange, like crumbled up biscuit pieces which can quickly go soggy. I think it might be a better idea to have a separate gingerbread that you can dunk at your leisure rather than find at the bottom of your cup. 5/5 Fudge Brownie Hot Chocolate
Fudge Brownie Hot Chocolate (Image: Jada Jones) This tastes to me just like a Christmas market. I can’t bring myself to drink coffee after 2pm, or 3pm on a weekend, so whenever it’s time for a festive evening I reach for hot chocolate instead. It’s a great option for keeping your hands warm and the fudge flavour is incredible. This hot chocolate has a different base to the classic, and I think it’s honestly a lot nicer. Rating: 5/5

The Very Merry Beyond Meat ® Sandwich
The Very Merry Beyond Meat ® Sandwich (Image: Jada Jones) I think Starbucks have mastered the art of a vegan breakfast sandwich, it’s not easy feat. I’ve had more than one from other places that left me wanting more but this patty is great. There’s a mustard mayo that I actually enjoyed, I find that mustard mayo can be difficult to get right, and the classic tomato chutney is traded in for citrus cranberry version.
- It tastes like toasted nuts, and in years past has been suitable for those with nut allergies but you should always check in with your barista first if it is suitable;
- Rating: 3;
- It typically comes with fudge pieces and a mocha whipped cream but they didn’t have it in stock near me;
I was really impressed with this, it’s a great take on a Christmas breakfast sandwich. Rating: 5/5 You can order Starbucks to your home on Deliveroo , Just Eat or Uber Eats (and here’s £5 off with Just Eat! )..

The only reason why I still visit Starbucks, the Toffee Nut Latte has served as my very own traditional Christmas drink for years. It beckons the beginning of the holiday season, and lets me know I better get started on my Christmas shopping. It’s assumed toffee quickly began gaining popularity due to the abundance of sugar and butter for the first time in history. WHAT IS TOFFEE? Toffee is a very simple creation. You heat sugar with butter (and/or salt) that is heated until it is caramelized.
Once the mixture reaches the desired temperature, it’s rapidly removed from the heat and poured onto a surface. Every recipe decrees a different temperature and portions of ingredients.
